That said, the Luxury Map is much more comfortable than the Camp Bed, and Therm-a-Rest has a better reputation for durability and warranty. This is mostly due to cost - the Camp Bed (in a Regular size) is $99, and comes standard with the extra-wide 25-inch width, which we believe most people prefer. It is a great mat and it works well for us.The Therm-a-Rest Luxury map is a self-inflating camping mattress that puts comfort over everything. It is nice that it has separate ports for inflation and deflation. We are fairly light (122 - 125 lbs) so it is definitely thick enough for our comfort. It takes just a few seconds of putting air with the pump to make it very firm. So we purchased a small battery powered air pump to make it even firmer. It will fill up mostly on its on as it is self-inflating, but it is still rather soft. It seems the wider the mat the longer they are, too, in spite of the fact that MOST people are just not that tall. It was very hard to find a wider mat that was not also 77 or 80 inches long. Most people are not longer than 72" and the space we have for it is exactly that long. We are thrilled that it is only 72" long. We did have to wait for a while for it to arrive. We purchased the 1 x Exped DeepSleep Mat 7.5 Sleeping Pads, Medium Wide, 7640445451635 from Camp Saver and got a great price.
